I’m Here to Help

Engaging in a coaching partnership can feel like a big step, especially when you’re used to figuring things out on your own. On this page you will find the answers to some of the questions I’m most often asked about coaching, career drift, and working together.

Is coaching right for me?

Many of the people I work with aren’t deeply unhappy, they’re simply aware that they are not okay.

Career drift often happens slowly, in the background. You have good days when you feel fired up and super motivated. But more often you’ve been feeling unenergised, flat and disconnected.

Coaching creates space to step back, think clearly, and explore those feelings before they turn into frustration, burnout, or regret.

You don’t need to have reached breaking point for something to deserve attention

Others may start with Direction Reset to work through a specific challenge before deciding they’d like more structured support around their wider career direction.

Coaching is designed to meet you where you are, and we can adapt the approach as your needs, confidence, and clarity evolve.

No, although much of my coaching is focused on HR and People professionals because that’s the world I know best.

However, that experience means I naturally connect with professionals who are navigating questions around career direction, confidence, visibility, progression, and meaningful change within organisational environments.

Each coaching experience is designed for a different stage of clarity, readiness, and support.

Direction by Design

My deeper signature coaching experience for professionals ready to make more intentional career decisions and create meaningful change.

Ideal if you know something needs to change and want more structured support to rethink and reshape your next chapter.

Direction Finder

A shorter, focused coaching experience designed to help you step back, think clearly, and decide what you want next.

Ideal if you’re feeling uncertain, stuck, or disconnected from your work and want a structured way to explore your options without rushing into decisions.

Career Momentum

Flexible, focused coaching support around a specific challenge, transition, or decision.Ideal if you need support with something more immediate, such as rebuilding confidence, preparing for a difficult conversation, navigating workplace change, or working through a particular career challenge, without committing to a longer programme.

Absolutely. Coaching doesn’t need to be a fixed path from the beginning.

Many people start with one coaching experience and then realise they’d benefit from more space, support, or deeper exploration as their thinking develops.

For example, some clients begin with Direction Finder to gain clarity around what’s next, then choose to continue into Direction by Design once they feel ready to explore bigger changes more deeply.

Others may start with Career Momentum to work through a specific challenge before deciding they’d like more structured support around their wider career direction.

Coaching is designed to meet you where you are, and we can adapt the approach as your needs, confidence, and clarity evolve.

Lumina Spark is a strengths-based psychometric that provides deeper insight into how you think, behave, communicate, and respond under pressure.

It helps you better understand your natural strengths, preferences, motivations, and the environments in which you’re most likely to thrive.

For many people, it becomes the point where things start to make more sense, especially if they’ve been feeling disconnected from their work, questioning their direction, or struggling to articulate what they need next from their career.

Combined with coaching, Lumina Spark helps uncover patterns, assumptions, and behaviours that may be contributing to career drift, while also building the self-awareness and confidence needed to make more intentional career decisions.

It’s included within both Direction Finder and Direction by Design and is also available as a standalone coaching experience.

What coaching feels like

Coaching with me creates space to step back from the day-to-day pressure, think more clearly, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

My approach is thoughtful, supportive, and gently challenging. I’ll ask questions that help you reflect more deeply, notice patterns or assumptions that may be keeping you stuck, and reconnect with what genuinely matters to you now.

At the same time, coaching is practical and forward-looking. Together, we turn insight into action, helping you build clarity, confidence, and meaningful momentum around your next steps.

Some sessions may feel reflective, others more focused and action-oriented. Often, it’s a combination of both.

You don’t need to arrive with everything worked out. Coaching is a collaborative process designed to help you make sense of where you are, what’s changed, and what a more intentional direction could look like for you.

No, coaching isn’t about someone else telling you what decision to make.

My role is to help you think more clearly, explore your options honestly, and make decisions that feel aligned with who you are, what matters to you, and how you want your career and life to feel moving forward.

Often, people already have instincts about what isn’t working, but career drift, external expectations, self-doubt, or overthinking can make it difficult to trust themselves.

Through coaching, we untangle those pressures, challenge assumptions, and create the clarity and confidence needed for you to make well-considered decisions for yourself.

The goal isn’t dependency or giving advice from the sidelines. It’s helping you reconnect with your own judgement, direction, and sense of agency.

That’s completely okay, and actually very common.

Many of the people I work with come to coaching with a feeling rather than a fully formed problem. They may feel stuck, disconnected, frustrated, uncertain, or aware that something no longer fits, but struggle to put it clearly into words.

You don’t need to arrive with a plan, a perfect explanation, or a clear outcome in mind.

Part of the coaching process is creating the space to slow down, untangle your thinking, and make sense of what’s really going on beneath the surface.

We simply start where you are now and work forward from there together.

Yes. Everything we discuss during coaching is treated as confidential and handled with professionalism, care, and respect.

Creating a space where you can think openly and honestly is an important part of the coaching process, especially when talking about career uncertainty, confidence, workplace dynamics, or difficult decisions.

The only exception would be if there were a serious concern relating to your safety or the safety of someone else, which I would always aim to discuss with you first where possible.

Full details around confidentiality and how we work together are included within my coaching agreement before we begin.

Logistics & Practicalities

You can book an initial conversation through this booking link.

I always start with a free 30-minute call where we explore what’s brought you here, what you’re finding challenging, and what kind of support might be most helpful for you.

It’s a chance for you to experience how I work, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether coaching feels like the right next step, with no pressure or obligation to continue afterward

Coaching sessions take place online using Microsoft Teams, making it easy to work together wherever you’re based.

Depending on the coaching experience you choose, sessions are typically either 60 or 90 minutes long and are spaced in a way that allows time for reflection, insight, and meaningful progress between conversations.

Between sessions, there may also be light reflection exercises, prompts, or check-ins to help maintain momentum and support your thinking as it develops.

That depends on what you’re looking for support with, how much space you need to think things through, and the level of change or challenge you’re navigating.

Some people benefit from a shorter, focused experience like Direction Finder or a one to several Career Momentum sessions to work through a specific issue or decision.

Others choose a longer experience such as Direction by Design when they want more structured support to explore deeper questions around career direction, confidence, identity, or meaningful change over time.

Coaching isn’t about staying in the process indefinitely. The aim is to create the clarity, confidence, and momentum needed for you to move forward more intentionally and independently.

Yes, payment plans can be discussed for both Direction Finder and Direction by Design.

I understand that investing in coaching is a meaningful decision, and I want the process to feel supportive and manageable, not pressured.

If a payment plan would help make coaching more accessible for you, we can talk through the options during our initial conversation and agree an approach that feels comfortable and workable for both of us
